FlashCardsFlow uses universal Markdown. It is an open, portable format that you can edit with any text editor. The structure is simple and easy to understand, so anyone can create flashcards manually and use FlashCardsFlow to study freely, with no sign-up required.
In this device's browser storage. If you clear your browser data or use a different browser or device, the decks will not be transferred automatically. That's why I recommend that once you've created a deck, you export it from the “Export” menu and save the .md file wherever you like. You can reload it to continue studying on any other device simply by visiting the page.
It works in the simplest, most open, and free way I could think of, using Markdown text files. Each Markdown file contains the list of questions and answers for each card, forming a deck on its own. You can save the decks wherever you want, create your own decks, share them with anyone you want, and use the study engine by loading the decks you’ve created.
